This is my intro to this band and absolutely blew my mind... it has the old black metal sound, in diversity ... the 90s era, from under a funeral moon to filosofem to hammerheart , but with these psychedelic prog vocals with astute and thought provoking lyrics with a poignant message (while not preachy in the slightest... ) deep , cold atmospheres... an amazing album I cherished on the beautiful, bitter northern minnesota nights under the stars and in the snow storms.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.

An album that was well worth the wait. This album is so close to being decidedly better than Sideshow Symphonies, but to me Archer and Bane are weak tracks (comparatively speaking) that could easily be cut. The rest of the album is phenomenal though, and this is essential listening.
