Dissonant Void Really nice mix of atmospheric black metal and dissonant death metal played with a blistering delivery. The drums blast away with a ton variation and intricate details played atop desolate guitar melodies that transition to sinister riffs. Everything is woven seemingly together. This is my first experience with this band and I’m thoroughly impressed. FFO Misanthropae, Altarage, Ceremony of Silence, and Blut Aus Nord.

Duplicate Records proudly presents Of Temples And Vultures, the sophomore full-length album of international black/death metal band OCULUS, to be released on physical and digital formats June 30th, 2023. The album will be available digitally via Bandcamp on June 16th.

Five years after their debut, The Apostate Of Light (via Blood Harvest Records), Serbian / Czech / US trio OCULUS are set to unleash their second full-length album Of Temples And Vultures.

Combining dissonant riffs with haunting melodic passages underscored by the organic, yet heavy production, Of Temples And Vultures condenses the best parts of its predecessor and whips them into an even harder-hitting and more coherent effort. Downright spooky in places, yet never loosing focus on what is at heart a perfect amalgam of atmospheric black metal and brutal death metal.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight).
